👤The tube was so old that it had begun to set up inside. The tube had an opening in it, but the glue wouldn't come out. The end of the tube broke after being applied a lot of pressure. I was able to use the spilled glue, but had to dispose of the rest. I don't think this supplier is a good one.
👤I am not sure if this is worth writing a review since this product has so many applications and someone will always give a bad review based on using a product wrong. I've had a lot of questions about how to attach patches, and I've found few recommendations on what product to use. I have only seen the negative reviews of products that didn't work. I contacted a person who sewed patches for the local Bike Chapters and wanted to attach a 6 x 8 Harley Davidson patch to a Nelson Bag. This product was recommended by her. If it didn't work, she suggested that she sew around it. I was surprised at how big the tube was when I received it. It is the size of a large toothpaste tube and for the price you can't refuse to try it. I only gave this product 4 stars because it is hard to work with. It is similar to Silicon, and I used 1/3 of the tube on the patch, but I realized Harley Davidson puts a thin cloth on the patch to help protect it when you sew it on. I had to put the patch back together. I put a small tile under the patch and put weights on top of it to make sure it was seated correctly, I am not sure how this will hold up and will give a followup, I made sure I put a small tile under the patch and put weights on top of it to make I was worried that I would be in trouble with overspills if I used the glue up to the end of the patch. That wasn't a problem. Pulling or using a razor blade was the only way to remove the overspill. If you want to avoid a small smudge, you should use a lot of overflow for the corner of the patch, as the large clumps are easy to remove.
👤It's the best asparagus ever. Being familiar with the different types of aircraft mfg. There are few if any better. Works with virtually any surface. I only use this when bonding wood for home building projects.
👤I'm not sure if this stuff ages in the tube or not. When I first opened it and used it on a job, it was hard to spread the glue on the items because it was thick and congealed from the tube. The job was difficult because the stoff was so congealed that it made it hard to apply tube adhesives. It did a good job. I wonder if I will find the glue dried out in the tube at the next use. I wouldn't buy it again.

👤There is no video for how to do it, but you can use a barcode to get to the video, but the website says that the link has been used too much, so you can't open the video. I wanted to return the item, but there is a policy that says you can return the item even if the product says no heat is needed. Anyway, crap!
👤It is easy to use and may take a practice to get used to. If you know how to mix colors, you can look at it for the best match. Try to make the application as smooth as possible and use the texture stamp before it dries. Some reviews show that they didn't read the directions. The texture paper should not be left on the product while it is drying. It is recommended that you use the texture paper with the product or it will stick and pull it off. It is not perfect but it is great for small repairs.
👤I applied this product to my booth to make it look better but after a while it cracked and looked worse than before I applied it. I got rid of my kitchen utensil and bought a new one.
👤This is the first time I need such an item and I can't compare it to any other product. It is worth it for the price. Here are some pictures to help you make a decision. The ottoman's color is the same as in the next two pictures as the patch in the first picture does not look like it. The first one was taken with a flash.
👤The monthly limit for instructional scans has been exceeded. This is what I get when I try to use the code to teach me how to use it. It doesn't look like it has any glue. Poor instructions and no video made me not know that. Can't return it because of shipping regulations. Time and money are wasted.
👤It would be cool for small holes. The hole in our chair was too big to patch. The patch is mostly holding, but the top layer is peeling and the hole is getting bigger. If you can't use the patterned squares, the surface will be rough on the skin.
👤I bought this to hide a small split in the fold line in the arm of my leather loveseat, which was the first indication of its 8-year service. The spot of white backing was visible to me. The kit was received, followed instructions, cleaned, and mixed color, but not much help. It was too large. The Lego set has a spear. Later, used a small paintbrush. I lost patience as the cover-up was not as smooth as I would have liked. It is not noticeable to anyone but me. The mission was accomplished. There were tiny holes in the back of the seat. I mixed the color better and used my finger to apply it to the smoothed surface. The water was cleaned up. When wet, dried is only minimally darker. The second attempt was to address all the tiny holes. It's not much for leather. Hope this repair keeps that pretty loveseat looking good. I did color the stuffing so the slit doesn't stand out at first glance, but I couldn't use this stuff for a slit in an old desk chair. My family and friends don't look for flaws in my furniture because they only glance at it.

👤This product is amazing. I tried another patch to cover the peeling on our leather sofa, but it didn't last very long. I went back to Amazon to see what else was available and I found this leather patch that paid off. The sheets were large so that I was able to cover the entire seat without cutting. Simply peel the paper off the back and place it on the area to be covered, that's it! It has been on for about a month and there is no sign of it giving up. You can't tell there's a patch because the color match is perfect. Thank you for saving me a lot of money and giving our sofa a new life. A good one.
👤The tape is a miracle. Our cat destroyed our leather sectional. He ruined a lot of sections. This tape saved us thousands of dollars when we were debating buying a new one. It was very easy to apply. I used chalk to trace where to cut and it was easy to wipe off. The color doesn't match up. It looks 100 times better than it did before. Now is the time to order more to fix the other spots.
👤The black vinyl couch started peeling and falling apart. There is nothing that can be done to fix vinyl couches. This product isn't perfect, but at first glance, you don't notice anything wrong with the couch. When we sit on it, it doesn't bother us anymore. I'm glad I tried this because I wouldn't buy a new couch anytime soon.
👤It looks easy to use. It blends perfectly with our couch. It seems to be stuck well, but will update if it starts to come off. I was happy with the purchase.
👤I am very pleased with the product. I didn't notice that the faux leather was getting old. It was very bad very quickly. I saw the good reviews. I decided to take my time with anything sticky. I used a glass as a template to cut the corners of the chair. Most chairs have puckered corners. The first was perfect but the second was too long. I was able to pull it back. I did not completely remove it. I have maroon chairs and I was disappointed. I put a throw over the chairs.
👤It arrived on time and was perfect for my needs. It was folded twice. I pressed it between two boards with weights on top. The creases were still present after a week like this. I can not use it. It is the right color and all. I don't recommend this product to anyone.
👤This stuff is amazing. My dog made a toy out of almost every corner of my furniture. I bought this to replace the duct tape I had on it. I can't tell it's on the corners from 2 feet away. The color matches are great. She didn't chew on the corners for extra protection.
👤I bought a used car and the center console was old. I cut a proper size piece and it looks great now. The wrap around corner parts didn't stick as well as I 888-276-5932 I was lucky on the match. It was the same color as the original.

Black leather patch tape is made of advanced materials that have good wear resistance and good toughness, and can be used for a long time. The leather repair kit is easy to clean. If you want to make strong sticky, keep the surface of the object clean, make brown repair tape paste on the surface of the object and hold a few seconds. The repair kit sticks well on different surfaces. Friendly material and harmless glue offer a healthy and safty life environment. It is easy to paste on the furniture or other surface if you need to cut the size with scissors. You could cut shapes and paste them into an object. It is possible to repair and conceal objects made from leather, vinyl, and many other upholstery fabrics. Such as couches, sofas, chair, car seat, bags, purse, boots, jacket, belts, luggage, boots, auto seats, belts, gloves, motorcycle seats, recliner, handbag, truck seat, leather jackets, and homemade.
👤It's flexible and soft. It has a peel and stick on the back side. It has a matt finish. The brown is almost blackish-brown with no red hue. There are tips. I read that it wasn't a permanent hold. Lifts with square corners. I did an extra step. I wanted a permanent hold on my couch so I bought vinyl cement. 2. I measured and cut my piece. Making sure to round my corners. 3. The new vinyl patch was better adherence if you used sand paper on the couch. Cleaned the couch. 4. I put the cement on the couch. I didn't put it to the back side. Also, note: If you add cement to the new patch, the directions on the cement bottle will say to add it. It will be difficult to uncurl and adhere it to the repair. The vinyl cement does not come with this order. I bought it on my own. From a seller. There is a new word for it.
👤I used this for my torn up couch and it worked well. I didn't bother with a review when I bought this. I bought it because I knew it would fit a couch, unlike the other products that looked like tape. The color matches my couch well, the tape was strong, and it was easy to apply. I will buy more for the other ones. Thank you.
👤I'm not sure if I would purchase again. It has a strong chemical smell, despite being advertised as no odor. I can smell it from 6 feet away after waiting 24 hours. The color was hard to match. I ordered in Brown and it was too dark. I may need to do something else to hold it down in some areas. It is so thin that it scars easily. I tried to remove the tape from it. The job got done but I am disappointed.
👤The glue is not strong enough to hold it down. It keeps coming off. This product was very disappointing.
👤These rolls are large. The product has a lot of glue. It's acceptable but feels very thin for repairing my old car seats. It can be used for more than books.
👤The product performed well. I was going to throw the recliner away because I didn't have anyone to fix it. Look at the before and after pictures. I don't know how long it will last. I'm happy!
👤I forgot to do something and the product worked better than expected. The product says to sand down the old material. I started applying it after forgetting. I noticed that the previous material was very strong, but the fabric under it was not. I kept going. I didn't remove the stuff from the bumps. I pulled off pieces that were peeling so the surface was more smooth, but I didn't remove everything. The second chair worked well. I measured and cut it with the backing on it. I realized that the material was a little stretchy, which is great because I could get a nice fit. When you measure, leave a little room for stretching. Not a lot, but maybe 1/2 inch. A second person is helpful when applying a large strip. It's a good thing. If you want to be like me, you have to get your hair stuck on the sticky side. So. Yes. It is a two person job. It smelled like a new product. There is nothing crazy. I am sensitive to smells. I think faux leather stinks, but maybe some come stronger scented than others. I decided I didn't care about the color of the chairs because I have kids at home. It ended up matching well. This is very much beige if you have white-white fabric. There are areas where the original faux fabric had peeled away and the glue didn't stick to the cushion under the old fabric. You have it.

👤My plastic yellow National Geographic telescope was turned into an item worthy of living in our clubroom. It's easy to use. A new discovery! Will definitely be doing more.
👤The leather was ok, but the backing was weak. I had to use spray glue to patch the couch.
👤These helped fix my couch. The edges will need to be replaced eventually because they don't stick very well. The edges are sticking up. The white line is from the leather patch. The glue needs some work.
👤They don't stick and it's a waste of money. They should be ashamed of themselves for doing such a thing.
👤If I could give a zero rating to the product, it would not stick anymore.
👤The tape does not stick. Very disappointing.
👤No sirve, no adhiere, no pequeo para el precio.
👤I was hoping to fix my couch, but it didn't stay on.
It is made with a waterproof layer and heavy duty glue. The design of the edge makes it easy to tear it. This product is made in Canada. It's flexible for vinyl, fabric and plastic. Weather stripping, shoes, toys, tools, and household items can be repaired. There are bonds paper, glass, leather, wood, fabric, rubber and some plastic. It's ideal for repairing seat covers, beach balls, vinyl inflatable mattresses, raincoats and wading pools. It is clear for invisible repairs. It is waterproof for interior or exterior applications.
👤The strap on the vintage bag was cracked and almost completely torn through, so I bought this to fix it. It seems to be working well. It is holding together. I like that it is flexible since the strap needs to move freely. I looked at many vinyl glues. There are many. The one I liked the best was rated well. I sewed the strap because it came loose. The vinyl repair tape that I ordered has yet to arrive. I will put this around the place where I repaired it. The metal bar should be visible because the strap goes under it. The glue dried close to clear. I hope the combination of things I am doing to repair this strap will give me the confidence to use it. I always read the reviews when I need help making a purchase that doesn't result in a waste of my money, so I wrote more than I probably needed to. This is a great investment.
👤Loctite has a great product. It has worked well, and patched 5 different holes, including some gaps at the seam of the Jump-o-lene trampoline that is up to a quarter of a mile long. That is a big gap. The key is to take out all air and then coat it with paint to make sure the seam or hole is sealed. I have given the leaks a day to cure and have not seen any of them leak again. Awesome stuff! It's difficult to see in the photos because it's so clear, but you can see the holes on larger surfaces.
👤I used this product on the back of the car seat. The seat has rubber backing on it. I used to like it. It did not hold. It can be used on a variety of surfaces.
👤It didn't work for the purpose I bought it for. I tried to glue a rubber patch on the air mattress with a cloth. It worked for a day or two, but ultimately failed.
👤I accidentally brushed up against a rose thorn bush and it tore a small part of my arm in my leather jacket. It's a genuine leather jacket from Emporio Armani. I was able to repair it to my satisfaction, and so far the glue seems to hold well while being flexible, and I'm happy with how the seam was closed up. I did some research before buying this, so I'll list the steps I took. Some reviewers mentioned that the glue melted away some of the fabric they were working with, but I believe they were using faux leather. This product was not the same as when I used it on real leather, so I would recommend it to anyone with a similar use case. I used the smallest one of the two that were needed, but the Loctite Vinyl Plastic Adhesive Glue was the one that was listed on the Amazon listing. If you have a 10mm hole, the piece of fabric you use should be at least 14-18mm diameter. "organza fabric" is a material that is very thin, strong, and mimics the flexibility of leather, which is why it is the most commonly recommended material. If you have any thin, this is what I bought. It's nice that organza is super thin. If you use a material that is too thick, it can cause the area around your tear to be more stiff than the rest of your jacket, and so you'll end up seeing an outline of the fabric. A Q-Tip Tape is gentle, easy to remove, and does not leave a mark. Make sure it's not too strong so it doesn't hurt the leather when you remove it. It is not mandatory to use acetone or nail Polish Remover. I recommend you keep it handy so you can either fix a mistake or clean up your edges for a tight seam. To cut the fabric and clean up the tear, you need to use scissors. This is important because you don't want your glue to land on something other than your jacket. Get your piece ready. If necessary, trim it to size. Make sure it is bigger than the tear. This piece is going to be a subpatch. On the outer side of the jacket is the actual leather material, but on the opposite side is a different type of flexible fabric that is not leather. The fabric is attached to the leather at various points on the jacket, but not on a majority of the jacket. We don't want to glue the leather to the fabric of the jacket. That's not how the jacket was originally designed, and doing so could cause you to tug on the leather when you move around, because now the inside fabric will be glue to the leather. We get a piece of fabric and use it as a subpatch, which will serve as a base for the glue to be applied, and then the torn leather will be Glued to the subpatch. The subpatch is a place where the torn piece of the leather meets the original untorn portion of the leather, and going forward will remain between the leather and the original inside fabric. The patch should not be put in the fabric. It should only be on the leather. If the tear is big enough, gently slide the subpatch underneath it. If you want to see the subpatch, flatten it out and stick it into the tear. The loctite vinyl glue should be opened. Don't open it over your jacket. To the side is where you can open somewhere else. It wasn't over my jacket when I opened it for the first time, but it was a little bit oozing out. Now, using your finger, a Q tip, and/or a toothpick, gently apply a thin layer of glue onto the subpatch. Lift the tear and apply glue to the patch you put underneath. A thin layer is all you need. Press the tear onto the subpatch. The seam is invisible if you line up the tear as well as you can. If you want, you can add a tiny bit of glue directly over the seam to make it extra snug and secure. Apply a small amount of acetone to the q tip and do a few light strokes over the excess glue on the seam. The excess glue will be cleaned up so that only the glue that has fallen through the cracks will remain. Apply masking tape to the tear so it doesn't open up again during the drying/curing process. I didn't do this because it was already stiff enough that I wasn't concerned. Remember when I said that you don't want the sub patch to be stuck to the inside of your jacket? Make sure to look on the inside of your jacket to make sure it's not the case. The subpatch fabric is porous, so glue made it to the opposite side of the subpatch and stuck to the inside of my leather jacket. The solution was simple, I rubbed acetone on a Q-tip and it accidentally stuck to the inside of my jacket. I rubbed and pulled the subpatch away from the internal fabric. Let the glue cure... Loctite recommends 24 hours. I waited 18 hours before putting the jacket back on.
The Extra-large patch is perfect for repairing holes, burns, and tears. The leather repair tape is very high in viscosity. Simply peel and stick items. This would be strong and durable in normal use. It is difficult to find paste in the break. You can cut it into different shapes with scissors. The patches can be cut to match the specific size of the damaged area. Don't wipe them with a small amount of oil. 👤I found the right shade of gray. There is a The first patch I received was so crumpled up, I knew it wasn't going to stick to my couch. I asked for a new one after returning it. I received a new one that hadn't been returned before. Everyone is doing the same thing I did because the patch color looks different in person than it does on the computer screen. I plan on having this couch for another 3 years, so I'm going to buy a few more patches. It's 3.5 years old, so it's at that age where the microfiber/ pleather like material starts to wear out and rip. I'm constantly wiping it down because the little one loves to jump and climb over the couch and make messes. The area of the couch that tore is my husband's gaming hub, so it gets a lot of use. I'm very happy with my purchase. Thank you for the variety of patch shades! The shade I bought is Gray No.2 P.S. These are sticks. Very well! Just wipe the surface with alcohol pads or something similar and put the patch on. I used my hands to make sure it was stuck and the corners were important. After I stuck the patch on, I let it sit for several hours before anyone sat on that part of the couch.
👤Can't go wrong with this product. It has bought us an extra 3 years on a leather sofa, I have used it three times.
👤The patch was off by 2 inches. It worked out in my favor. It's easy to apply, but be careful to line it up before sticking it down, it will remove leather/color with it. It is more durable than vinyl tape. The color was great for me. The end result is a lot less bumpy if you remove the curled bits of leather from the edges of the holes. The border on the patches makes them perfect for arm and head rest replacements and still look like a factory finish. Happy days!
👤There was a small hole on the leather armrest of my car. I wanted it to be small so I got a stick over the top. The first time we were in a car, it tore. If you are going to stick this in a place that is touched, it would not be a good idea.
👤I bought a new couch the day before my golden dogs ripped it. I thought the couch was not comfortable. These leather repair patches were discovered by me. They did a great job of repairing my couch. Highly recommend!
👤This patch isn't fooling anyone, it covers a torn or worn leather surface, but it does what it says. It draws more attention to an area than it should. I bought this for my sofa. I wanted to cover the crack on the arm of the sofa since family would be gone. The patch covered the crack, but it was very noticeable. I put a throw on the arm of the sofa to cover the patch. If you can, look into getting a new item. This is a waste of money.

👤This worked well to repair the blankets and robe that my puppy chewed on. There are not a lot of products that are easy to use. There should be a multi pack of different colors. You have to buy a lot of one color. The product was very good.
👤This tape is very sturdy and easy to use. Does it blend well? It works as I need it to. I ordered 3 different colors to find the best match for my furniture and will be returning the other two colors. Hopefully, my cat will be able to leave the edge of the couch alone.
👤Sticks blend in as long as you get the right color.
👤This is perfect. It can be used many different ways. I wanted something new, and I was tired of sculpting teddy bear noses from leather. It is easy to shape and can be used in many ways. I'm making a nose for a teddy bear.
👤My dogs like to destroy things. This was bought as a last ditch effort. It's sturdy and works well.
👤It's easy to use and repair a cut in a microsuede sofa.
👤It's wonderful! The peel and stick application was easy. Kitty can stay.
👤It was used to tape the torn cambric. Our cat ripped through the upholstery of the sofa. We don't have a staple gun, so the black dust cover could have been stapled back. The velvet textured tape worked well. It is easy to cut into strips. It's sticky enough to adhere the fabric to the wooden frame below the sofa, but not so sticky that it sticks to itself.

SUPER STICKY The Sayopin leather patch kit is made of latex and has high viscosity, which makes it difficult to lift. Increasing the service life is achieved by peeling patch tougher and abrasion resistance.
👤These patches worked well. The patch is the size of a piece of paper. I don't know what they'll be like in the future, but as of now they are great. It's an improvement over the cracked faux leather.
👤When you buy a patch kit like this, you are likely to find the cheapest method to fix a rip in your furniture. This won't bring that furniture back to its former glory. It won't match what a new coat of paint would do. For its purpose, it does an excellent job. The faux leather fabric of my wood bend chair has been damaged over the years. Since the chair has no tags or markings from the company that made it, it's hard to find a replacement cover. I decided to buy a patch kit to match the black cover of the faux leather. I was skeptical about going this route because I knew that a simple patch on the chair could be a complete disaster. There were three large patches inside the envelope. This was more than I needed, but for the price, it was a good deal, since I would have more patches standing by if there were more tears in the chair. I measured the rip in the chair and cut a patch to it. The application and patch backing were easy to remove. The patch is holding up well after a few days. You can look at the attached photos. I was not able to smooth out the crease because of a slight bubble that occurred after I discovered the smoothing tool. The patch is not a big deal. The chair was black. It's obvious to anyone who knows that this is a simple patch job, but I would bet anyone could walk into the room and not see that the chair was patched. It's not like putting a bad toupe on a bald head. Most people won't notice it at first.
👤The product was easy to use. Nice. It was applied as directed. Looked good. The chair arm is good. The bad The patch is separated from the glue. I made sure the chair arm was clean and separated the glue from its own glue. It could have been done better with a piece of vinyl. I have a huge sheet of glue stuck to my arm. There is no way to contact the seller after the item is delivered. I was not happy when I bought the three pack.
👤I only needed the one sheet. I didn't want to replace my office chair because of the crack on the seat. I wrapped the front of the chair with a sheet. It has held up well after a few months and is not showing any signs of wear. The product is a great price.
👤I have an armpad on my office chair that has the vinyl wear away where my elbow rests. A threadbare area is not a hole. You should use a good pair of scissors to get a clean edge. I blackened the edge after cutting to make sure there were no light spots. It is easy to apply, holds firm, and is soft enough to turn down the edges. If you make a mistake and need to cut again, there is a lot of material. It is recommended. After a full year of use, this patch is holding up just like the day I put it on, which is great. Highly recommended.

👤The product has an excellent finish and is easy to apply. Adherence is strong. It's good, but be prepared when installing. The foam cushion on the left bolster of my Honda Accord leather driver's seat was torn down and I used this to repair it. I recommend people who are using this product for a seat repair to do a two layer application because I had enough surface leather material to do it. To start, cut paper templates to see if they fit the area. Doing this will make sure you get the right fit. I made a small patch first to cover the original leather, with the sticky side facing out. The thickness in the area that had been worn down was improved by this. Remove the backing off while holding it in position. This will help prevent slippage. I applied the larger patch to the surface with enough coverage to adhere to the existing leather and hold the smaller patch underneath. peal the backer first, apply the patch at the stitch line of the outside of the bolster and press into place. If your seat has compound curves, you will end up with slack or a crease in your last area because the material patch is flat. You can cut an inch or so by removing a thin V shape from the area and then the seam will line up without puckering the material. The best way to hide the patch is to tuck the seam edge into the bolster crevice and follow the original stitch line contours. I had to return my first order due to the incorrect color match, so double check your material color. I would use this product again. It is very effective, inexpensive and easy to use.
👤I have two small dogs who like to sit on the top of the couch while I look out the window. They like to dig. The fake leather on my couch has been torn off by the digging over time. I'm looking for a cheap and effective option because a new couch isn't in the budget right now. The couch looks a lot better from a distance than it does up close, and this fits the bill for $20 a sheet. It couldn't have been simpler to use.
👤I got out of this product in one week, so don't waste your money. I'm pretty sure that many people who review this product do so after they apply it. The faux leather layer is peeling apart in the photo. The product has an under layer that looks like string and glue. The glue held but the 2 layers of masta plasta separated, either way, is a big time fail and you can see the product is fraying badly around the edges. The only reason I am giving two stars is that masta plasta returned my email and suggested that I get a refund from Amazon. The product was too good to be a true snake oil type product. I was hoping this product would last a year and then I could justify applying it again. I would like to leave a completely honest review and say that the product I applied to the side of my seat is still holding, but the piece on my seat that I sit directly on failed in a matter of days. I think this product is made for areas that don't get a lot of traffic. I'm happy that my moneys have been returned. I wanted to let you know that I have experience and that you don't waste your time and money on a can of remover. I have half a sheet of masta plasta left and it will hit the trash can when I run to it.

👤It has been 5 months. I wash the blouse at least once a week, it is still perfect. It is the same color. The corners and edges are still sticking to the garment. The cuts that I made on the patch are still intact. I am very impressed with the value I have gotten out of these patches. This product is very good. I sewed a patch into the seam of the garment so you can't cut it out. It has been great to cover the tag with this patch. I cut as much of the tag as I could so that I could iron it on and have it adhere to the garment. It has been washed for about 3 months and no issues have arisen. It is nice to know that products can still be made with quality. Original. I used this for the first time and it worked out well, because a blouse got ripped at the collar from a plastic hangers at a hotel and I like plastic ones. I cut out a bigger patch than the tear and then a small patch on the outside to cover the tear. It is completely covered by the collar. I like how thin these are, they are translucent once ironing on, so you can see the pattern through it. It seems to move with the cloth instead of being rigid. I can't feel it on my neck because it's on the inside and thin. I am very happy with this solution. How will it hold up in the washer and dryer is the big test. After a couple of washes, most patches will start curling and lose their glue. I am very happy for now.
👤My iron has settings for steam and temperature. Even though I wasn't planning on using steam, I assumed it was where I would set the iron. The dial was set to 20% above the lowest steam setting. I decided to measure the temperature after it worked well. The iron seems to control the temperature at that setting. I placed a second smaller piece on the opposite side of the patch to cover the actual hole in the fabric. It worked well. I had to move the iron as I was heating the patch because I couldn't cover the entire area with the iron. I think it's a good idea to keep the iron moving. There was an area of the patch that let less of the original color show through. The material underneath is thin, so if there is a color contrast, it will show through. It seems like it will be durable. You could see a difference in the area where everything had gotten to the correct temperature for a sufficient amount of time and the area which had not, when you looked at the pocket I was repairing. The area which was not heated for a while still looked like the original patch material. I worked that area with the iron until it looked the same as the rest of the patch. I can only describe it as not turning translucent. It seems to have stuck well when it looks like that. You need to heat it longer if it still looks like the original patch. This received a very poor rating in one review. I think the iron may have been set too high. Before I started, I didn't see that review. I was worried that it could be possible to over heat the glue. It would be good to quantify a temperature that worked well for me after reading that review. There is visual feedback once you do it. You wouldn't know that if you did it once. I used a non contact temperature probe to measure the temperature. Hope this helps other people.
